A pair of local establishments took top honors at the 8th Annual Boudin Cook-Off in downtown Lafayette on Saturday.
Teet’s Food Store and Cajun Meats in Ville Platte took first place in the Unlinked Category with its Chicken Skin Wrapped and Smoked Boudin.
T-Boy’s from Mamou meanwhile nabbed first place in the People’s Choice Category.
T-Boy’s had previously earned top honors in that same category in 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011. In 2012, T-Boy’s also took first in the Traditional and Speciality categories.
Paul’s meanwhile had placed second in the Speciality Category in 2013 with its Crawfish Boudin.
The event, which also features music and a Boudin eating contest, benefits the Historic Preservation Alliance of Lafayette.
