The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in connections to an attempted murder on Saturday.
In a release by EPSO and Sheriff Eddie Soileau, late Saturday night, March 4th, EPSO deputies were dispatched to EPSO regarding a gunshot victim. Deputies arrived and found an adult male shooting victim, who stated he had been shot by a male subject who he identified as Donnie.
The shooting victim suffered a wound to his lower right side abdomen area.
Investigators were able to identity the subjects involved in the shooting. Those subjects were Donald Paul Lafleur Jr., a.k.a. “Choe” and Anginatta Foreman, both of Ville Platte.
According to EPSO, both have been charged and arrested.
Lafleur, 24, was charged with attempted second degree murder and criminal damage to property. Lafleur’s bond was set at $105,000.
Foreman, 23, was charged with accessory after the fact to an attempted second degree murder. Foreman’s bond was set at $50,000.
EPSO stated that Lafleur surrendered to authorities peacefully without incident Tuesday evening, while Foreman was apprehended peacefully and without incident from her residence on Tuesday afternoon.
EPSO states that a motive for the shooting has not yet been determined.
