VPPD in search of robbery suspect

A robbery occurred at a local business, and Chief Neal Lartigue requests assistance from the public in identifying a suspect.
In a statement released by Lartigue, he said, “On June 29, 2017, officers with the Ville Platte Police Department received a report of theft. The victim stated that someone stole her purse from a bench at Walmart. Officers and detectives investigating the incident have released this photo of a suspect in the case. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-forties. If you know this person or have information on his whereabouts, you are asked to call the Ville Platte Police Department at 363-1313. Your call will remain anonymous.”
