The Chataignier Village council and mayor addressed the times parents will be allowed to take their children trick or treating in the village.
At Monday’s monthly meeting the council decided upon setting Halloween hours from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 31.
The mayor and her council also wanted to remind parents to make sure and accompany their children trick or treating. Also, for the people who plan to pass out candy to trick or treaters, the council asked that you leave a porch light on.
With the time change soon to happen, the council also discussed if their regular 6:30 meeting time would change as well. After unanimously being approved, the time of the village’s monthly meetings will remain the same.
Other items on the agenda, which were all approved were:
•A $250 bid from Richard Celestine to purchase the village’s old cop car.
•Act of donation of .88 acres land and a 15-foot servitude surrounding the land to the Village of Chataignier from Mr. Aubrey and Deborah Brown.
