VPPD investigating child left in hot car

The Ville Platte Police Department has released a report regarding a child being left in vehicle.
According to a release from VPPD Chief Neal Lartigue, at approximately 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2017, officers with VPPD responded to a report of a child left in a vehicle in the 2000 block of West Main Street. Detectives were dispatched to the scene to begin an investigation.
There is no further information available at this time as the incident is still under investigation.
