Ville Platte Mayor Jennifer Vidrine announced on Friday morning that City Hall would be closing its doors early due to the winter weather hitting Ville Platte and the rest of Evangeline Parish on Friday. The Ville Platte City Hall will be back open on Monday morning. Both Sacred Heart High School and Ville Platte High School decided to cancel each school's basketball games for Friday night.
