Louisiana holding tax free weekend on August 5-6

The state of Louisiana will be hosting a tax free weekend for August 5-6, just in time for customers to buy back-to-school supplies for the new school year.
Tax-free savings applies to the follow items:
Purchases under $2,500
Excludes the purchase of taxable services, automobiles and meals.
The regular sales tax rate in the state of Louisiana is only 4 percent, so that is how much money customers will save, along with your local sales tax, if applicable.
