Evangeline Parish Solid Waste Commission reported that a backhoe from the Mamou dumpster site had been stolen.
The stolen backhoe is a 2007 Case 580M Series 2, color yellow, with Solid Boss rubber front tires and approximately 4,375 hours. Waste Commissioner Pat Derouselle said that the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office has been informed of the robbery, which occurred between 6 p.m. on Wednesday night to 8 a.m. on Thursday.
Derouselle noted that if any residents had seen or heard of the whereabouts of this piece of equipment, please call the Evangeline Parish Solid Waste Commission at (337) 363-7254 or the EPSO.
